Kyo Tanner has had a very busy time over in Summer taking part in a different swim events and securing his place in future competitions.

In the British Nationals Kyo was placed in the final 7 for the 50m freestyle in the 13-14 years category.

During the English Nationals he swam in a number of categories in the 12-13 year age group and achieved the following fabulous results:

  • 100m freestyle - final gold medal
  • 200m freestyle - final 4th
  • 400m freestyle - 16th
  • 50m back stroke - final 6th
  • 100m back stroke - 18th
  • 200m back stroke - final 10th
  • 50m butterfly - final 7th
  • 100m butterfly -11th
  • 200m individual Medley - 13th


Kyo has also been selected to represent Lancashire County at the ASA National County Team Championship. This event will be held in Sheffield on 18th October 2015.

Further to that Kyo he has been chosen to attend the English talent squad camps. These squad camps can lead to selection for the future Olympic Games!

The ASA National Winter Championships are being held in December 2015 and Kyo will be taking part. He will be competing in the 'year 2000 or later born' category.

During the last weekend in September Kyo took part in the Level 2 North Lancashire Champions and took part in seven events and came first in all of them. Such a wonderful achievement, here are the races that Kyo swam in:

  • 100m butterfly
  • 400m freestyle
  • 50m freestyle
  • 50m butterfly
  • 200m backstroke
  • 50m breaststroke
  • 100m Freestyle

Kyo also gained a qualifying time of 50 freestyle for the ASA National Winter Championships and will swim in the ‘boys born in 2000 or later’ category.

Kyo was taking part in the English Talent Camp on 2nd October and at the North Lancashire Level 2 on Sunday 3rd October.
