On Friday the 21st June we had the privilege of inviting members of our armed forces to work with our Year 10.
Our Year 9 students are already thinking about their careers and how to design and engineer the future of the world they will live in.
The Eco-Group have been planting a variety of tree saplings in the school grounds.

On the 18th June, the under 13's touch rugby team did the school proud by qualifying for the Lancashire School Games for the 3rd consecutive year!
On Monday 17th June 2019, we welcomed Mike Croskery, the Community Fundraiser, for Derian House to school.
Congratulations to all the Balshaw's students who represented the South Ribble district at the Lancashire Schools Track & Field Championships at Stanley Park Arena in Blackpool on Saturday 8th June 2019.
On Tuesday 2nd April, a group of Year 11 Balshaw’s students, accompanied by Mr Melling and Mrs Seedall, visited the Academy for Skills and Knowledge at the BAE Systems site at Samlesbury, Lancashire.
Well, what a super day, our Spring Fair and Family Fun Day was and what amazing sunny weather! We are so very lucky to have wonderful staff, students, patrons, volunteers and supporters who give up their time to make this day so much fun.
On Monday 20th May, Mr Mort and Miss Lockhart took the train to London to visit Microsoft’s Paddington offices with eight Year 8 girls for an event called DigiGirlz. The event is aimed at girls to inspire them to pursue their dream with STEM.
Four students Balshaw's joined students from across South Ribble for the annual Rotary Technology tournament held at the Civic Centre last week.
