Liv Cooke – Freestyle Football World Champion, five time world record holder, BBC sports presenter and UEFA ambassador, business innovator

Liv attended Balshaw’s from 2010 – 2015 and was a member of Worden House.  Sadly freestyle football was not part of the activities for Sports Day or House Cup Competitions or Mr Jennings would have had the chance for sporting victory in his house!

Liv always loved football and joined Preston North End then Blackburn Rovers, but injury forced her to decide whether or not to follow her passion for freestyle or persevere with her football.  Freestyle was her choice and she never looked back.

Liv is passionate about empowering girls to achieve their dreams and to challenge the limits on what they can do by following their dreams.  She doesn’t say that it’s easy (she trains 5-6 hours a day, 6 days a week), but it can be done.  She won the “Woman of the Future” award as well as a Parliamentary Rising Star Award
