Trevor’s Journey to Success:

Trevor’s story began in the halls of Balshaw’s Church of England High School, where he served as Head Boy and found early inspiration in the school motto, non sibi sed aliis—“not for self, but for others.” After high school, he attended Runshaw College and went on to Southampton University, where he balanced his passion for rugby with earning a Master's degree in Aeronautics and Astronautics.

After graduation, Trevor began his career at British Aerospace but soon discovered his interests leaned toward business and innovation. This realization led him to join Accenture, where he spent ten years as a key bridge between business and IT, helping global Financial Services clients achieve some of their most complex technological goals. His work took him to cities around the world, from Melbourne and Cape Town to Amsterdam and New York, nurturing a love for global collaboration and transformative growth.

In 1999, amidst the dotcom boom, Trevor embraced a new challenge as a venture capitalist, investing in promising startups. This entrepreneurial experience paved the way for his next adventure at ThoughtWorks, where, in 2002, he was asked to lead the company’s expansion into the UK and, eventually, the world. ThoughtWorks grew under his leadership, reaching 29 cities worldwide and over 1,100 employees by the time he became CEO in 2006. Trevor’s guidance helped ThoughtWorks build an international reputation for its innovative solutions, propelled by a unique culture of integrity, drive, and talent.

By 2013, Trevor took on a pivotal role at Autotrader, transforming the company into a fully online platform and steering its landmark flotation on the London Stock Exchange with a £2.3 billion valuation and onwards to a £6+billion valuation by the time he left. True to his early guiding principles, he made the bold decision to remove commission from sales roles, shifting the team’s focus to customer-centered advice and expertise. This visionary approach redefined how Autotrader engaged with clients, fostering trust and loyalty in an increasingly digital landscape.

After a brief retirement, Trevor returned to the business world, this time as Chair of the Baltic Classifieds Group. His leadership helped guide the company’s growth, culminating in a successful £400 million flotation on the London Stock Exchange. BCG now stands as the leading online classifieds group in the Baltics, with a portfolio of fourteen platforms across automotive, real estate, jobs, and general classifieds and a valuation of over £1.4 billion.

During 2024 and early 2025, Trevor also became a Director of WGSN, the leading global trend forecasting and data analytics business based in London, followed soon after by becoming the Chair of Property Guru – the RightMove of SE Asia based in Singapore and operating out of Malaysia, Vietnam and Thailand.

Now semi-retired, Trevor enjoys spending spare time with his wife, three children, two dogs, and close family. Despite his busy schedule and frequent international commitments, he prioritises time with loved ones and remains passionate about rugby, sports, and his charitable foundation, which reflects his enduring commitment to helping others.
