We have our annual Languages week that will take place from Monday 21st September.
There will be a whole host of fun events taking place for students and staff as follows:
During lunchtimes, students can take part in Anime club on Monday (Room 9), along with Love of Languages club on Tuesday (Room 7).
Monday: Languages teachers will be wearing a t-shirt with French or Spanish on it. Students are asked to translate the word/phrase
Tuesday: Interhouse Cup Challenge Treasure Hunt for Year 7 & 8 students. Finding French and Spanish clues around school to help to locate the treasure! Students need permission from home to stay and take part
Wednesday: Speaking/Teaching Day - Teachers will be competing with each other, speaking languages in lessons. Students can vote for their favourite and there will be a prize for the best teacher
Thursday: Our Hall with become an International Karaoke stage during lunchtime! Students are invited to come along and learn some fun and fabulous international tunes
Friday: Students are asked to get their baking gloves on and compete in making the best internationally themed cake! Students are asked to bring them in on Friday am. The cake sale will take place at break and money raised will be donated to Macmillan Cancer Support. Please ensure that bakes are nut free. Remember to bring money in to buy cake!
