Liverpool Philharmonic Trip

On Wednesday 6th March, 52 students were fortunate enough to attend a concert at The Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra. Where we joined presenter Alasdair Malloy, conductor Michael Seal and the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra as they celebrate the 2024 Paris Olympics!

Exploring the themes of sport and health, we discovered the history of the Olympic Games and their surprising connection to Liverpool! Linking to the Key Stage 2 and 3 physical health and mental wellbeing curricula, we learnt about nutrition and healthy lifestyles, and how important they are for our orchestral athletes.

We found out about some current Olympic sports and inspirational athletes, and we even took part in our very own record-breaking attempt!
