Year 10 & 11 Girls’ Football Semi-final

After a great and dominant game of football, played Wednesday 1st May, our Year 10 and 11 girls’ football team were very unlucky not to qualify for the cup final!

Our team played incredibly well, with superb goals from Autumn and Laila, however, sadly a controversial goal ended with us losing 3-2!

The gap has closed massively for this team as when they played Haslingden in the county cup final 2 years ago, with the same group of players for our team, we lost 7-2. However, as mentioned at the start, we were by far the better side this time around.

We are very proud of their fantastic achievement this year, especially for our Year 11 players, and this will be their last school football fixture at Balshaw's.
