Balshaw's annual Careers Fair was held on Thursday 6th November, an event which students from Years 9-11 were invited to.

We were delighted to have over 130 students, plus parents/carers/siblings attend, which meant over 350 people on the night!  It was a very busy night, attended by over 20 providers ranging from Colleges, Sixth Form providers, apprenticeship providers, the armed forces, sports services and many, many others.

We were delighted also to be supported by some parents who attend to represent their companies, and also ex-students representing BAE and Steven Gerrard Academy.

A very busy evening for all providers, and we know that the students received really valuable information, as demonstrated by the comments of Poppy, a Year 9 student, below ...

I think that the careers event was a good opportunity. All of the colleges that I spoke to were very helpful. The apprenticeships weren't the things that I was interested in but it was useful to speak to them. As a Year 9 student, it was very useful to look around at what the different colleges had to offer.

Thank you to everyone who attended as a provider to make it a successful evening, and to all parents and students who came in order to find out more to guide their students on their learning journey.
