Everyone at Balshaw's is highly impressed with the kindness shown by many of our staff and students who have brought in donations for our local foodbank!
We know this food and these items will go to help people in our community who are currently in need, and we trust and pray that God will guide them to get to where they will do the most good.
This type of generosity fits perfectly with our Balshaw's Christian School Vision, that:
In conjunction with the school's original motto, 'non sibi sed aliis' (not for self but for others), the school's vision is rooted in the Gospel values of love, forgiveness, friendship, kindness, truth, patience, respect and humility, which are the foundations for decisions made in the Balshaw's family.
Our aim is: to develop students, whatever their faith or worldview, who reflect Christ's love within our community and wider society.'
The donations were taken to St Andrew's Church to join with their Harvest Celebration Sunday, and have been moved from there to a local food bank.
And if you weren't able to bring anything in this time, that's OK too. God tells us that "whatever you give is acceptable if you give it eagerly. And give according to what you have, not what you don’t have."
Why not say a little prayer for those whom the donations will reach, asking God to bless them and indeed all of us in our community?
Thank you again, from everyone at Balshaw's.
