Five of our Year 9 and Year 10 students represented the South Ribble District Team this year and did so with great distinction.

The team achieved an outstanding milestone by reaching the Lancashire Cup Final, an accomplishment that had not previously been experienced by these players.

Reaching the final was a significant achievement for both the students and their families, *particularly for our Year 10 students, who will not have another opportunity to represent the District. Their commitment, hard work, and dedication throughout the season were rewarded with a memorable and successful campaign.

Although the team was narrowly defeated 1–0 in a closely contested and highly competitive final, reaching the Lancashire Cup Final remains a remarkable achievement in itself. Not every team has the opportunity to compete at this level, and the players should be extremely proud of their success and the way they represented both the District and their schools throughout the competition.

Well done to Anais and Izzy from Year 9, and to Eve, Jess and Paloma from Year 10 for representing the District this year.

*District teams only runs up to the U15 age group, so Year 10 is the last year for school students to have the chance to represent their District."
