The Year 7 netball team made an excellent start to their season on Monday 12th October as they competed in their first Central Venue League event at PGHS.

Playing together in a competitive league environment for the first time, the team demonstrated great determination, teamwork and sportsmanship throughout the evening. Across five matches, the girls achieved an impressive record of three wins, one draw and just one defeat, a fantastic achievement for such a young and developing squad.

The players represented the school brilliantly and showed significant promise for the future. Their commitment, enthusiasm and willingness to learn were evident in every game, with the team improving as the evening progressed. It is exciting to see such a talented group of players, and there is no doubt that this team has a bright future ahead.

Representing the school were:

  • Megan
  • Talia
  • Amaiya
  • Grace
  • Heidi
  • Sophie
  • Katie
  • Erin

A special thank you must also go to Maddie and Orla, who have been invaluable in supporting the team at training sessions and during fixtures. Their encouragement, coaching and commitment have helped the Year 7 players settle into competitive netball, and it is wonderful to have them involved.

Well done to everyone involved. We look forward to seeing how this talented and motivated group continues to develop over the rest of the season.
