We have our annual Languages week taking place from Monday 23rd September.

There will be a whole host of fun event taking place for students and staff as follows:

Monday: there will be a French and Spanish film shown every day in the language rooms (6-9). KS3 students will have a special cultural lesson instead of their normal language lesson.

Tuesday: all staff are invited to try out different languages with the students and students will later judge who spoke the best in a foreign language or who made the best effort. Our bilingual students will try to teach something from their own language to their teachers.

Wednesday: The Languages treasure hunt will take place for Year 7 after school for approximately one hour. Students must have parental permission to attend.

Thursday: The International Bake-off will take place at break in the Hall and the cakes will be sold in aid of Macmillan Coffee Morning. If anyone would like to contribute cakes for this charity event, we would be very grateful.

Friday: We will play Hello Bingo with all KS3 students. Staff will be given a badge to wear which says hello in a different language. KS3 students have a bingo grid and must write the name of the member of staff and hello in that language. The student who completes their grid first wins a prize!

What an exciting week!
