Balshaw's Remembers Ryan Masterman on the 10th Anniversary of his Death

Ryan Masterman died ten years ago, on 10th April 2006, while riding his bike.  

On Friday 20th May there will be a memorial service in school for friends and family. Ryan was in a tutor group with Manchester United and England player, Phil Jones.  Caroline Molyneux, their form tutor, will return to the school to speak at the service.

Following Ryan's death Balshaw's constructed a memorial garden in his memory which is used annually as a chance for friends of the school to reflect on the memories of loved ones lost.  Headteacher, Steven Haycocks said: "We remember Ryan at our Memorial Garden Service on the first Monday in Advent, along with other friends and family that are known to those at the service.  However, ten years on from the original tragic accident we hope to have the chance to share memories of the short time that we had with Ryan.

Anyone who knew Ryan and wishes to take part in the service is welcome at 2.30 at Balshaw's Church of England High School on Church Road, Leyland.
