Careers Fair - Thursday 24th November

We hosted our popular Careers Fair on Thursday 24th November from 4.30pm to 7.30pm. Students from Years 9, 10 and 11 were welcome to attend the event with their parents/carers. 

Our Careers Fair provides our young people with the opportunity to seek face to face careers information, advice and guidance; students were able to receive specific and personally relevant information about a wide range of careers opportunities, including the entry routes and training requirements for each area. 

There were a wide range of delegates present including; Blackburn College, Preston College, Wigan and Leigh College, Salford University, Inspira, the Institute of Civil Engineers, Leyland Trucks, Royal Navy, North West Ambulance Service, Redrow Construction, D and G Builders, Eric Wright Construction, Training 2000, True Bearing Financial Advisors, ROQ Technology, FWP group Architects, BT, United Utilities, General Practitioners, Actemium Design, HD Vehicle Wrapping, Vantage Motor Group, Bespoke Traffic and Highway Solutions, Lancashire NHS Teaching Hospitals, Interfloor, along with CareerNorth, the company who provide our young people with independent careers advice and guidance in school. They were here to talk about and discuss careers, local market information and post 16 options, as well as providing an opportunity to enter a careers quiz and win a £20 voucher.
