Oustanding Start to 2024-25

We have had an OUTSTANDING start to the 2024-25 academic year; there have been over 120,000 positive points awarded altogether for all year groups throughout school. Positives are awarded for all students who meet our high expectations regarding their conduct in and out of lessons.

173 students were awarded a ‘Golden Ticket’. Each member of staff has one ‘Golden Ticket’ for every year group they teach to award to students who they feel have shown an outstanding attitude, been a brilliant Balshavian, made superb progress and effort, shown marvellous care or manners or generally been the very best version of themselves.

155 students were able to hand in a full Balshaw’s Values card during this half term. Every student carries one with them and they are signed by staff members when students have demonstrated one or more of the following: Love, forgiveness, friendship, kindness, truth, patience, respect, and humility. These are the central traits of a true Balshavian and these Christian values help underpin everything we do.

568 students were also awarded and recognised today as they have managed to maintain 100% attendance and have not had a single day off in the last 7 weeks.
