On Saturday 31st of January, a group of Year 9 students and staff set off on an exciting adventure to Paris for the Maths Live event!
This is a wonderful opportunity for our students to hear from the key speakers at the Maths LIVE Conference about how Maths impacted their career, how Maths is apart of their day-to-day job and what aspect of Mathematics is their focus/passion. The organisers purposely pick lesser-known careers as well as a variety of speakers to show students the full range of mathematicians and all the opportunities available to a student with a qualification in Maths.
The trip was also an opportunity for students to develop their independence and social skills as they were able to walk around Disney in whatever groups they chose. It is a fantastic opportunity for students to create new friendships, lasting memories and conquer fears on the tower of terror!
We have received some lovley feedback about this trip and you can see a selection below:
Hi Miss Corner,
Firstly, I just wanted to thank you for organising such a fantastic trip! Sophia has had the time of her life!
Hi Miss Corner,
Just a quick note to say a big thank-you to you and the teachers for the trip to Disney!
From the snippet of information we got before bed, Tom had an amazing time! Can’t wait to hear more when he gets home from school.
Please pass on our thanks to the other teachers that joined you too.
