We were delighted to hear that Sam, in Year 10, has achieved great success with his golf recently by coming first in the National Championships at Lincoln Golf Club. Sam has worked incredibly hard to improve his golfing skills and he has now qualified to represent England in an international match against Wales in September. What a wonderful achievement Sam, we are very proud of you!

Thank you to Leyland Golf Club for sending us the photograph of Sam and the following information:

Since Sam joined the club in 2017 he has worked extremely hard to reduce his handicap to 3.7.

Now representing Balshaw's High School, Sam qualified for the 36-hole gross National Championship after The Lancashire boys U16 championships at Burnley and Lancaster.

The National Championship took place at Lincoln Golf Club on Monday, as a 36-hole gross competition, with some incredibly talented junior golfers in the field.

With scores of 75 and 76, Sam finished overall +9, which was good enough to earn 1st place.

This is an amazing achievement, and everyone here at Leyland is very proud of Sam's success over the past year, with his handicap coming down week on week... all the hard work and hours on the range pay off!

Sam will now represent ENGLAND  in the international match vs. Wales in September. From everyone at Leyland GC, we wish him the very best of luck.

We are excited about your future Sam and look forward to hearing more about your golfing success.
