Year 11 Boys South Ribble Cup Progress!
On Monday 3rd February, our Year 11 boys’ football team played against Worden Academy in the South Ribble Schools Cup.

English-Speaking Union Success!
Congratulations to Balshaw's senior public speaking teams who BOTH got through to the semi-finals of the English-Speaking Union Churchill Public Speaking Competition yesterday evening (Tuesday 4th February).

Holocaust Memorial Day 2025
On Monday 27th January the school choir were honored to represent the school as Leyland Civic Centre for their Holocaust Memorial Service.
Bedrock Achievements - December 2024
Congratulations to Mrs Bache and Mrs Gore’s English group (8N), who are BEDROCK ACHIEVEMENT CHAMPIONS for December and to Miss McCutcheon and Mrs Gore’s English group (8W) for making most progress.

Care Kits 2024
Firstly, we wanted thank you to everyone who donated toiletries for our 'Care Kits'.

Year 7 Football Team Through to the Lancashire County Finals!
A huge well done to our Year 7 boys who beat Ripley St Thomas 7 - 2 to reach the Lancashire Schools County Finals! They faced a strong team in Ripley however Balshaw's completely outclassed them in terms of teamwork and thoroughly deserved the win.
Leon's Success in Taekwondo
We are very proud of Leon who has recently been promoted to 1st Dan in Taekwondo.
Superb Swimming!
On Tuesday 10th December, a number of our students represented Balshaw’s at the South Ribble Swim Gala.
Christmas Hampers 2024!
We wanted to say a huge thank you again this year to everyone who donated items for our Christmas Hamper collection.
Positives 2024
We have had an OUSTANDING end to 2024; there have been over 120,000 positive points awarded altogether for all year groups throughout school. Positives are awarded for all students who meet our high expectations regarding their conduct in and out of lessons.
